Medical Billing - Revenue Cycle - Trip Intake – Hospital Call Team Representative
On-Site or Remote
Starting Pay $16.00
The Hospital Call Team representative works within the Trip Intake Team to obtain patient demographics and insurance information. Essential Functions/Duties
- Obtain patient demographic and insurance information by contacting hospital partners
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Manage inbound and outbound call volume
- Work to achieve team and departmental goals
- Accurately assign account to next department
- Ensure all accounts are worked appropriately to allow distribution to the floor in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year in a call center environment
- Minimum of six (6) months of hospital or clinic admissions experience or equivalent education
- 6 months data entry experience
- Experience with downloading documents from websites and accessing documents downloaded
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Office 365
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Skills:
- Ability to define and identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to respond to inquiries in a positive and productive manner
- Ability to calculate numbers, correct entries, and document accurately
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
- Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information
