This is a developmental position with known promotion potential to the target position of NH-0893-03,
The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a chemical engineer performing management, execution, and operations in assigned area(s) for metal build, corrosion control and environmental programs.

- Obtain & maintain Security clearance
- This may be a designated Drug Testing Position
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable)
Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of professional chemical, environmental and general engineering principles, practices, techniques, and procedures to effectively perform project development, execution, training, and advisory services in metal plating and cleaning.
2. Skill in applying chemical engineering practices, methods, and techniques in accomplishing assignments. Knowledge to troubleshoot engineering problems requiring investigation of questionable conditions in assigned area(s).
3. Ability to perform assignments in metal plating and cleaning, usually of a unique nature, with little or no guidance but in terms of broad general objectives. Within these parameters, provides completed specifications with adherence to Group and Complex policies and governing agency regulations.
4. Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and other guidance to make decisions and recommendations concerning assigned corrosion control duties, as well as consult on related environmental, health, and safety issues.
5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, and establish effective working relationships with others.
6. Knowledge of standard engineering handbooks, standards, systems specifications, Air Force instructions, regulations, and manuals, DoD directives and correspondence from other applicable authorities.
