Job Posting for Manager Facilities & Asset Management at Air General Inc.
Air General, a Family Owned National Air Cargo Company, is currently seeking a Manager of Facilities and Asset Management at our home office in Portsmouth, NH. This role will be responsible for managing the company portfolio of warehouse and office properties, associated equipment, and procurement of necessary goods and services to support facility operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage properties portfolio to meet the company’s operational needs and requirements
Monitoring and manage the major assets and facility equipment/systems to ensure proper operation and suitability for the operation
Establish equipment asset management tracking and replacement program with 5 year outlook
Establish equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance program requirements, monitor and track for compliance and operational integrity
Maintain all facility lease agreements and negotiate renewals and or facility upgrades/updates.
Support Project Managers on new facility openings with lease and supplier issues
Monitor facility expenses for each property and make recommendations to reduce expenses based successes at other locations
Establish a facility inspection program and administer, monitor for compliance
Manage vendor and contractor/supplier relationships related to facility and facility equipment
Coordinate with Director of Finance to monitor expenses and payments
Coordinate with facility property owners and service providers for facility issues such as warehouse door repairs, HVAC systems, lighting etc.
Prepare and submit regular reports to the Home Office
Work with management team in assessing facility requirements and needs
Maintain property tax for facilities and personal property tax records for equipment and required reporting
Administer company copier and printer own/lease program nationally
Standards
Must have computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs and GMail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong analytical skills
Strong long term planning skills
Must have valid state-issued driver's license
Must pass security background check and drug testing
Must be able to obtain valid airport I.D. badge
Position may require frequent travel with North America
Educational requirements
High School diploma, College degree preferred but not required
Experience requirements
Several years of managerial experience
Facilities management experience - 3 to 5 years
Airline Cargo Logistics experience desired, but not required.
Facilities and equipment procurement experience - 3 to 5 years desired
Special skills necessary to perform the job
Highly organized and able to work independently and as part of a team
Experience and knowledge with with facilities mechanical, HVAC, and maintenance requirements
Knowledge of leases, facilities, vendor and contractor relationships
