THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OPERATOR (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2428000 and is part of the IL 126, National Guard.
Qualifications:
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of considerations for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code 709), will be in the following manner and sequence,
Military Grades: Enlisted Only - Maximum Rank of E5
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: MUST possess experience or training which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and to safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: WG-10 Level MUST possess at least 18 months of experience or training operating, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting and overhauling fuel systems and components.; experience or training initiating and controlling the movement and storage of fuel supplies by operating high pressure systems with a series of terminals connected by cross-country pipelines or multi-fuel storage and distribution facilities connected by a network of internal pipelines. WG-8 Level MUST possess at least 12 months of experience or training working in activities such as large fuel depots or fuel farms with complex, interconnecting line and pipe arrangements, and frequent requirements for large scale movement and transfer of a variety of liquid fuels. WG-5 Level MUST possess at least 6 months of experience or training which demonstrates the ability to use common hand tools and makes repetitive repairs; must have basic knowledge of the type of work performed by the occupational series; provide assistance to the journeyman by performing the simpler and routine duties of the trade.

Responsibilities:
As a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OPERATOR (TITLE 32), WG-5413-5/8/10, you will manage fuel on behalf of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) which consists of operations and maintenance of a fuel distribution system that includes a Type III Hydrant fuel system (at Air Refueling Wings) equivalent to a small fuel farm, fuels laboratory, cryogenic storage, bulk storage, base service station, fuels information service center, mobile fueling operations and the financial account management for missile propellants, aviation fuels, ground fuels and cryogenics utilized in support of aircraft, motor vehicles, engine test cells, powered Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), generators and heating systems required to support the Wing mission and transient aircraft.Salary : $22 - $36
