Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner/Coordinator for its Mid-River region.
The basic function of this role is to minimize total cost by maximizing work force capabilities through prioritizing, planning, and scoping of maintenance work orders. You will co-lead backlog review and prioritization activities along with designated area maintenance supervisor. You will scope work orders to estimate cost, labor, materials, equipment, and special tool requirements to complete the job in a safe and cost-effective manner. The facilities at which work is performed are located in Luling, Taft, Norco, Garyville, and Convent, LA. This will include but not be limited to:

- Coordinate the review of work backlog with operations and maintenance personnel to ensure that all work is appropriately prioritized, planned, scheduled, and executed.
- Work closely with maintenance supervisor to level work force requirements across the Mid-River Region.
- Provide detailed job plans as required on general maintenance activities.
- Provide planning support during turnarounds.
- Create and receive requisitions for parts and external maintenance services as required.
- Support the preparation of bid documents as necessary.
- Participate in all general maintenance leadership activities including 24 hour on-call support on a rotating basis.
- High school diploma with preferred relative technical school or college degree.
- Relative experience will be given strong consideration in lieu of formal education.
- Three (3) plus years’ experience in the petrochemical & manufacturing industry. Prior planning & estimating experience is a plus.
- Self-starter with a solid work history and excellent references along with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
