Role and Responsibilities :
We are seeking an experienced plant operator for our helium facility in Largo, Florida. The plant operator should be a strong teammate with the ability to work well with fellow employees, carry out daily assigned tasks with minimum supervision, and have a strong maintenance background.
You will work in a plant environment, filling high pressure and cryogenic product containers, performing product analysis, conducting equipment inspections and maintenance, loading / unloading trailers.
You must be comfortable working 8-hour rotating shifts and weekend work. We are looking for someone to take ownership of basic safety responsibilities and be passionate about safe work habits and sustaining a team environment.
Military, electrical, instrument or mechanical training is a plus!
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Demonstrative mechanical aptitude.
- Primary work shift is Monday - Friday from 0830 -1630. This shift could change subject to work requirements. Must be available for overtime and weekends when necessary.
- Must have good communication and computer skills. SAP knowledge a plus.
- Willingness to work outdoors 60% of the time.
- Ability to follow established procedures and safety requirements.
Education and Licensing Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of experience in plant operations desired.
- Physically able to handle / push wheeled containers weighing more than 250 lbs.
- Ability to climb trailer ladders / steps safely.
