Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor for its Southern California team at our Torrance, CA site.
The Site Supervisor role is a key member of the management team for the Southern California HYCO facilities. In this position, you will have day to day responsibility with a broad range of duties focused on ensuring the entire aspects of operational discipline are in place and functioning properly for the Torrance, California SMR’s (Steam Methane Reformer) Facilities, both located on site at the PBF Refinery. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with the plant and regional support teams as well as contractors. The position reports into the Plant Manager of the Torrance location.
The facility consists of 2 Steam Methane Reformer (SMR) hydrogen plants with associated auxiliary equipment and syngas purification system. The sites produces H2 which is used internal to the PBF refinery.

Key responsibilities in this role include but are not limited to:
- Safety performance, reduction of recordable injuries, BSP compliance and process safety management
- Achieving environmental compliance targets
- Support of all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the Torrance site, including supervising operators and maintenance technicians
- Provide support to SoCal pipeline system
- Work daily with SoCal Account Manager on customer requirements
- Maintain strong forward facing relationship with customer
- Maintain staff training curriculum
- Manage plant budget
- Work with HYCO Site Services group for Projects and Turnaround Planning

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred, but not required
- Strong manufacturing/production background and experience
