What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Administrator position at Air Temp Solutions?

We are a top 5-star rated and reviewed growing and expanding HVAC and Plumbing Company. We are looking to add a full-time Financial Administrator to our growing team. The position would be Monday - Friday located at our New Castle, DE office.

Our Financial Administrator would need to have critical thinking, be proficient in math and account with a solid understanding of accounting, financial reporting principle and practices. Must have outstanding report writing skills and with the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial information and prepare balance sheets
  • Coordinate with management and staff to prepare budgets
  • Ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and procedures, and federal and state regulations.
  • Resolve account payable and receivable issues or queries
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements
  • Assist in financial and tax audits, and general ledger preparation
  • Prepare income tax returns and corporate reporting requirements
  • Develop monthly financial statements that include cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets
  • Complete end of month financial ledgers
  • Fixed asset depreciation booking, and depreciation schedules
  • Payroll Processing

  • Sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the superb organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Critical thinker with high proficiency in math
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Excellent report writing, communication skills
  • Advanced competency in Microsoft office, Accounting Software packages
  • Self-Starter, take initiative, motivated
  • Home Service Industry experience a plus

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years experience in Accounting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or Business Administration
  • Excel Skills: V-lookups, Charting, graphing, formulas, pivot tables
  • SAGE Intacct software modules or Quickbooks experience
  • CPA Experienced preferred but not necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
