What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aircraft Contract Maintenance Rep position at Air Wisconsin Airlines?
Operating as a regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin Airlines performs flying services as a partner with United Airlines. Currently operating a fleet of CRJ-200 regional jets as United Express, Air Wisconsin operates throughout the Eastern and Central United States. With general supervision from the Director of Contract Maintenance & Engine Programs, this role is responsible for the oversight of contracted maintenance services at several locations, to include Roswell NM, Melbourne FL, and Canada (which currently requires a COVID vaccination for entry). Travel to all of our maintenance facilities throughout the US may be required.
Essential Job Functions:
- Promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment.
- Oversees contracted maintenance services, which include heavy maintenance, engine QEC programs and livery changes, to ensure assigned workers provide maximum, effective productivity within contractual constraints.
- Ensures timely and accurate processing/auditing of aircraft maintenance records for assigned facilities.
- Validates the provider’s personnel working on the Air Wisconsin program are trained, qualified and current per the requirements of the Air Wisconsin General Maintenance Manual(s).
- Ensures compliance with DOT/FAA regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Approves any additional work and non-routine maintenance required onsite at assigned facilities.
- Liaises between the contracted maintenance provider, engineering, material providers, and manufacturers.
- Provides initial review of invoices and validates charges are in accordance with the contract.
- Must have and maintain a valid passport.
Supervision Received:
- Must be able to work independently with no onsite supervision.
- Work is judged primarily on overall results with significant latitude in choice of methods.
Judgment/Initiative:
- Requires moderate level of judgment to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations, policies and procedures.
- Judgment and initiative are necessary in setting priorities. Must determine if unusual problems with routine procedures require involvement of others.

Requirements:
- Associate degree in aviation management or engineering.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant License required.
- Three to five years’ supervisory experience in a FAR Part 121 Air Carrier operations.
- Three to five years’ quality assurance/quality control experience in an aircraft maintenance environment.
- Good working knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations.
