SUMMARY: Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned. Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. Ensures all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS), ISO and AS Standards are being met as required. Responsible for conducting Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), Internal Audits, and Management Reviews. Responsible for ensuring all 3rd party registar and customer audits are successfully completed and closed in a timely manner. Responsible for compiling and reporting all quality related metrics in a timely manner. Responsible for managing the quality team and providing daily direction and coaching as necessary. Collaborates as the quality team lead with all AirBorn functional groups. Works directly with customers to successfully solve quality related concerns and/or quality related activities. Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities. May conduct vendor visits to insure quality. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Requires knowledge typically acquired through: Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university, Five to ten years related experience or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints form customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of the theorems. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
