Position Summary:
The objective of this position is to support the Flight Line/Delivery Director and associated team to ensure sustainability and improve efficiency in planning for a multi-program delivery operation. The position will be directly involved in planning and managing initiatives to ensure ramp-up. As such, with a collaborative, continuous improvement and quality mindset, this position will liaise with the multiple planning teams and operational teams, putting in place a structured, fact-based and collaborative way of working. This position will identify issues and risks, establish contingency plans, and ensure governance is in place toward the objective.
Primary Responsibilities:
Customer Line planning 50%
- Liaise transversely with site planner, industrial planning, and commercial planning to streamline full-spectrum of planning process particularly for post FOT activities
- Participate in daily OCC to ensure planning milestone activities are fully mitigated between programs and stakeholders
- Lead operations daily planning meetings to identify risk early and report to leadership any tactical issues
- Liaise with industrial planning and VSM to assess and report FOT planning and QG risk to Customer line
Customer Line reporting: 25%
- Maintain My Airbus Delivery data system for reporting on risk of incoming AC, post milestone achievement, and daily status reporting for multiple programs
- Update Jaguar planning tool as needed post FOT for MSN in Flight Line and Delivery phase.
Project management: 25%
- Manage project improvement plans related to cycle time, work load balancing, and capacity for Customer line
- Lead WBS actions assigned to Customer line for rate increases
- Participate in Transformation MFTs and manage assigned task related to Customer line projects and initiatives
Additional Responsibilities:
Support daily activities and hot topics in a productive and positive way.
Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:
- Knowledgeable of planning systems and Digital management applications a plus. Ability to quickly learn new tactical planning software
- Project Manager Experience to coordinate with multifunction Team and interface with multiples internal and external suppliers.
- High professionalism and respect for processes and procedures.
- Able to interface with multi-level of Management.
- Able to take quick decision based on available information and Managing associated risk.
- Must be able to communicate to multiple layers of an organization.
Education:
- Educated in Project Management or Technical planning field related tasks within this Job description or a related field experience.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years' experience in an aviation related field.
- Result oriented. In addition to guide/coordinate, able to perform and do.
- People oriented. Easy contact with multiple layers of the organization.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Project management or planning certifications a plus
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
- Must be proficient in google products, Jaguar, and my Airbus Delivery
