Responsibilities:
- Physically count tires and parts and reconcile them.
- Distributes parts to mechanics from parts counter.
- Checks parts in from outside vendors (receives them). This must be a physical check in addition to signing of paperwork.
- Bar code (price part, list invoice #s and unit #s depending on part). Put parts away.
- Return non-warranty and core parts daily off the “return shelf”.
- Inventory the parts room every shift.
- Rotate stock from old to new. (filters, etc.)
- Place orders for parts via catalog, calling vendors and/or computer databases.
- Perform general housekeeping in the parts room. Keep it organized and clean.
Skills & Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED equivalence
- Strong people skills
- Clear communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Good eye for detail
- Highly organized
- Teamwork
- Familiarity w/ mechanics and/or trucks is preferred
