Job Summary: The Inspector’s main responsibility is to follow procedures to ensure compliance of FAR 145. This position will have responsibility for inspection and quality control issues in the repair departments. This position will release all components listed on the Company’s Operation Specifications and capabilities list to service.

General Duties:

  • Will ascertain that the work they are inspecting has been accomplished in a high standard of workmanship and in accordance with FAA and manufacturer's standards.
  • Perform inspection procedures prior to returning the component to service.
  • Ensure technical data is being used and up to date with the latest revisions.
  • Assist with receiving inspection, including formally documenting any noted shipping damage
  • Continually review the shop areas for compliance with the RSM during the performance of their duties
  • Continually look for ways to improve all aspects of inspection and training, and looking for ways to reduce cost in the repair departments
  • Use their background/knowledge to support the creation of Repair Instructions
  • Will ensure that all completed maintenance forms are screened for accuracy and completeness
