Profile 職位概要

In-house interpreter/Translator is one of the important positions for the start-up and post-start operation of AW Texas Co., Ltd. (AWTX), which was newly established in Texas, USA, and is slated to deliver automatic transmissions (AT) to automobile manufacturers in the United States. The individual is expected to play a critical role in successfully leading the launch in the local production plan of AT.

As an interpreter/translator, he/she reports to the general manager of the manufacturing department and the senior coordinator of Mfg Group, demonstrates the skill of interpreting to facilitate mutual understanding between Japanese employees and US members, and supports the communication process. In addition, he/she will provide guidance to interpreters who are hired as contractors to improve the efficiency of interpreting work.

通訳スタッフは、新たに米国テキサス州に設立したAW テキサス株式会社（AWTX）の事業開始及び開始 後の運営に向けた重要な職務のひとつであり、米国にある自動車メーカーに納入する予定の、主要な自動 車部品の現地生産計画に於いて、立ち上げを成功裏に導く役割を担うことが期待されている。

通訳スタッフとして、製造部ゼネラルマネージャー及びMfg G シニアコーディネーターへ報告を行い、日本人赴 任者とUS メンバーの相互理解において、通訳というスキルを発揮し、その一連のプロセスを担当する。 また、派遣通訳スタッフの指導を行い、通訳業務の効率化を図る。

Responsibilities 職責

1. Interprets in various settings and facilitates the communication for mutual understanding between Japanese and US members in the process of setting up a new plant in North America.

2. Acquires technical terms by asking questions, etc. Builds his/her own glossary through his/her translation/interpretation assignments.

3. Supports fellow interpreters/translators who are new to the job and helps improvement in their interpreting skill.

4. Translate documents and records used by the company, such as company rules and standards.

5. Spontaneously go and see the spot to clarify questions he/she has encountered during the interpretation/translation assignments.

6. In addition to the above, follow the direction of his/her supervisor to support bilingual communications. (For example, interpret a meeting to convey critical messages to avoid misunderstanding, etc.)

1. 北米で新規拠点を立ち上げるにあたり、赴任者とUS メンバーの相互理解の為に通訳する。

2. 通訳する際に不明な用語があれば自ら質問し、専門用語を習得する。

3. 習得した専門用語は一覧にまとめ、通訳資料を作成する。

4. 新人通訳者の指導を行い、通訳メンバーのスキルアップを進める。

5. 会社ルールや標準など会社で使用する文章や記録を翻訳する。

6. 翻訳を進める中で不明な事を確認する為に、自ら現地・現物で現認を行う。

7. その他上司から指示された事項を行う。（例えば、コミュニケーションエラー防止の為の 通訳等）

Qualifications 必要な資格

1. Worked and lived in the US.

2. Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills

3. Self-motivated, spontaneous individual who pays attention to details and has excellent time management skills.

4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.) Ability to utilize the basic knowledge of MS Office for document translation.

5. Available for overnight business travel according to business needs.

6. Available for overtime and weekend work according to business needs.

7. Available for working in different time zone according to business needs.

8. Bilingual（English and Japanese）

４． マイクロソフト オフィスのアプリケーション(ｴｸｾﾙ、ﾜｰﾄﾞ、ﾊﾟﾜｰﾎﾟｲﾝﾄなど)に習熟し、基本的な機能を用い て翻訳ができる

５． 業務上の必要に応じ、宿泊出張ができる

６． 業務上の必要に応じ、残業や休日出勤ができる

７． 業務上の必要に応じ、時差に対応した出勤が出来る ８． 英語、日本語ができる

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $46.00 per hour
