Job Summary:
The Build Project Manager role is to process and plan a job from beginning to end utilizing resources within the company and to maintain in the budget and schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Material ordering with specifications required by the customer.
- Measure detail in CAD data, record, and double check accuracy.
- Communication with Project Management and/or customer to discuss manufacturing concerns.
- Oversees key projects, processes, data, and analysis.
- Exhibits knowledge in the area of affordability, continuous improvement, process improvement and root cause corrective action.
- Actively participates as a member of a cross functional IPT.
- Evaluate released design packages to develop manufacturing plan, work instructions and manufacturing bills of materials.
- Review estimate and budgeted hours, then develop work breakdown structure and apply standard hours to discreet work centers.
- Supports development of production schedule.
- Participate on shop floor to validate work instructions, bills of material and process specifications.
- Works with both internal and external contacts, and often represent the organization in developing solutions to complex technical issues’
- Leading and teaching lean business tools and implementation
- 6S, value stream mapping, root cause corrective action, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar field with a minimum of 5 years in a tooling/manufacturing environment in the aerospace industry and/or combination of relevant work experience to successfully meet the duties of the position.
Experience & General Characteristics:
- Thorough understanding and broad application of technical standards, principles, theories, and techniques related to tool manufacturing.
- Ability to provide technical solutions to a range of challenging problems with creative, practical solutions that are consistent with organizational objectives.
- Candidate must be able to work and lead in a fast paced manufacturing environment, continually seeking solutions to productions issues and improving overall efficiency of the shop floor.

Physical Demands –
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard. Also required to reach, stoop and kneel to install computer equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting is required.
