Technical Specialist - Technical Support and Documentation
Location: Hybrid Remote (90% Offsite)
Client: US Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM)
Compensation: $100,000-$115,000
Purpose of the Role: To provide technical support and maintain documentation for the USHMM DAMS and Preservation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
- Resolve technical support tickets, including system administration tasks.
- Attend and contribute in meetings with system support vendors.
- Advocate for USHMM staff needs and requirements.
Documentation Maintenance:
- Create and maintain technical and system documentation.
- Ensure consistent and comprehensive understanding and usage of the DAMS and Preservation Repository systems across the organization.
Project Management:
- Oversee projects on the USHMM DAMS roadmap.
- Monitor and report on project progress and milestones.
Onboarding New Assets:
- Support the DAM governance process.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create technical documentation.
- Test and configure new asset types in various environments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing digital assets and utilizing digital asset management systems.
- Proficiency with Google Suite.
- Knowledge of metadata standards and digital preservation best practices.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with OpenText Media Management or similar DAMS software.
- Experience with Libsafe or similar preservation software.
Salary : $100,000 - $115,000
