What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquatics Specialist position at AJ Aquatics Inc?
AJ Aquatics is a Fish and Reptile store located in Amarillo. We are looking for a full time Individual with a love for all things Aquatic and Reptile . Candidates should have a passion for animal husbandry, a strive for high quality, and be task oriented. We are open 7 days a week from 11am -7pm Monday - Saturday 1-4 Sunday. Your job will entail:
- Identifying fish and reptiles and receiving them into our systems
- Quick visual inspection of all animals for quality issues
- Sorting animals, cleaning systems, and feeding animals
- A variety of general labor activities in a warehouse setting
- Maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor with customers and co-workers
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and subordinates
- Constantly expanding your knowledge of animal care and onsite operations
Requirements:
- Compassion for our animals, customers, and employees
- A working knowledge of animal care
- Able to work in a fast-paced active environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to lift 10-25 lbs frequently and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Pet store experience a PLUS

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
