Come join the team of 313 Best In Black Detroit Best Photography Awardee, AJ Photography. AJ Photography is a full-service photography and event rental company based in Michigan. We are looking to hire contract photographers to join our winning team. AJ Photography has been in business for over 13 years and we hire contract photographer's year-round. We specialize in various types of shoots such as but not limited to head shots, group shots, event photography and outdoor portraits. We also provide event rentals such as photo booths, throne chairs and money machine booths.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
We are seeking energetic, friendly and flexible photographers to join our growing team. We are looking for someone that is proficient in various aspects of photography and has great people skills. Although we would like to find photographers who can shoot all types of styles, we are willing to hire someone that specializes in at least one area and we can train you in the other areas.
Required Skills:
- Intermediate photography skills with photographing people of all ages
- Experience photographing in a studio and/or on-location
- Understanding of color spaces, image quality settings, and formats
- Maintain and management timelines and deadlines
- Able to follow guidelines set by AJ Photography and our clients
- Ability to assess outdoor lighting to determine the best location for photos
- Great customer service skills
Education and Requirements:
- 2-3 years min professional experience in photography
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (Mon-Sun)
- DSLR Camera with flash, Flash diffuser and Standard Zoom Lense
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation
- Top-notch customer service skills
- Portfolio with relevant work experience and examples (preferred).
These positions are contract with the opportunity for direct hire with full-time permanent employee status. Pay range varies based on experience and bookings.
