About us
Ajax Cubs is hiring an assistant director to help guide our childcare program. In this role, you will ensure a safe and healthy environment is maintained. You will work directly under the Facility Director to accomplish various daily tasks, including but not limited to, managing paperwork, creating reports for parents, managing materials, and providing customer support. Additionally, the Assistant Director will guide and support teaching staff in supporting our custom curriculum focused on inspiring children to want to learn, to stimulate curiosity, and to affirm and develop their personalities. The Assistant Director will support and assume position responsibilities of Director when the Director is off campus.
Ajax Cubs provides care for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years old. Our program consists of two pre-school rooms, a toddler room, and an infant room. We are located in Aspen, CO and are ideally situated to take advantage of our natural surroundings and provide a one-of-a-kind experience to our students. Ajax Cubs’ initial classrooms will open in January 2023, so as a new organization, we are seeking candidates who relish the opportunity to help create a program that will have a meaningful and lasting impact on the community.

(Responsibilities) Job Duties
- Manage staff and camper records
- Create enrollment reports, and children updates for director review
- Maintain stock of materials needed for running programming
- Assist in guiding and supporting staff in executing our custom curriculum
- Assume director roles when facility director is absent
- Assist staff in communicating with parents and children
- Meet with parents and staff to discuss students’ progress
- Ensure that facilities are maintained and cleaning according to state regulations
- Occasionally fill-in teaching

Required Education & Experience
