What are the responsibilities and job description for the Benefits Coordinator position at Ajilon?
Ajilon is working with a medical manufacturing firm in Metuchen, NJ to hire a temporary Benefits Coordinator. This would be employment on a temporary basis for about 6 months, and is remote with the possibility of occasional meetings in the office as needed. There is an immediate need for a highly qualified candidate to fill this role.
This role entails assisting the HR Department and Benefits Manager with all matters related to benefits administration. Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Benefits Manager with all matters related to benefits administration
- Conducting new employee onboarding as it relates to benefits
- Advising employees on all questions related to benefits, FMLA, and disability
- Adding information into payroll tracker
- Entering benefits information into COBRA vendor system for terminated employees
- Participating in benefits presentations and the enrollment process
Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in corporate benefits administration
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR highly preferred
- Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ACA, etc.
- Experience using ADP and/or Oracle a huge plus
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently from home and commute to the office as needed
- Strong customer service skills and problem solving abilities
- Excellent computer skills and ability to adapt to new software
Employment type: Full-time, temporary
Compensation: Starting at $18 per hour USD
Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week
