POSITION PURPOSE:
Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition Solutions and Ingredients business is a leading manufacturer of Amino Acids in the Food Ingredients Industry. The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for leading, managing and implementing process improvement and new product innovation projects across our manufacturing operations. The focus of this role will be to work closely with Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure proper resources and investment requirements are identified to execute against the key business initiatives. Reporting to the VP Supply Chain, this position will be instrumental in driving projects that deliver against aggressive growth targets.
POSITION PURPOSE:
- Manage concept, scope, cost, resources, implementation schedule, and all other facets of the projects.
- Ensure compliance to corporate policies and processes for successful project execution
- Provide leadership to the cross functional team to adhere to key project milestones and implementation timelines.
- Projects may include internal or external manufacturing processes
- Prioritize projects based on business needs
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A. Process Engineering, Project Management, PMP certification preferred
- PCQI Certification and FSVP Certification required (can be obtained during employment)
- 10 years relevant project management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of End-to-End Supply Chain Operations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office Suite, Trace Gains, SAP, Salesforce, etc.)
- Self-motivated individual that thrives in a fast paced culture
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects for oneself and the team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with cross functional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to small and large groups
- Strong math and science-related technical skills
- Knowledgeable in GMP’s and familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
WORKING CONDITIONS: Sitting, standing, travel domestically and globally as needed
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead projects and work closely with stakeholders to hold them accountable to adhere to key milestones to deliver the project on time
- Manage and facilitate work process flows and capital approvals thru leadership decision making
- Develop scope of work process for Supply Chain projects driving process improvements and new product innovation that can be tracked and updated in real time
- Work with Commercial Finance and Procurement to ensure cost models, ROI’s and business case are aligned.
- Coordinate with Operations on mechanical, structural, and site design plans
- Identify and manage third party resources required to execute a designated project that are within the cost parameters of the project
- Work with cross function teams to ensure process or products are in compliance with state, federal and company guidelines and regulations.
- Set regular meeting cadence with key stakeholders and leadership on project progression
- Effectively document scope creep based on key learnings of project progression
