Position Summary:
Reporting to the VP of Contract Analytics, the Contract Analyst will be responsible for contract cost analysis as it relates to bidding and operating contracts. This is a customer facing role that works closely with the Operations, Maintenance, Accounting, and Executive teams to construct timely and accurate contract bid packages.

Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Work with Operations, Maintenance, and Analytic teams to determine operational cost specific to each new contract bid
- Work with team to identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase profitability
- Act as lead for all new bids, two-year reviews, bid renewals, service changes, and peak season service requests
- Develop, analyze, and report on significant line-item cost performance relative to plan
- Maintain historical record of bids submitted, including underlying cost calculations and assumptions
- Define standard procedures and documentation for bidding process
Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance required
- Strong understanding of fixed vs variable costs in transportation industry
- Ability to balance numerous deliverables with varying degrees of urgency
- Strong communication skills, as well as written and verbal presentation skills
- 2 years of analytical experience
- Expert user of Microsoft Excel; with ability to manipulate data with formulas, pivot tables, and/or Visual Basic
- Familiarity with data exploration and data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, Chartio, etc.
