RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must ensure the Safety of all employees, compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Must promote Corporate Values of Safety, Innovation, People, Quality and Stewardship each day on site
- Must conduct frequent crew meetings to keep crews informed and up to date on facility changes, company policies and business updates.
- Review processing schedules or production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
- Must manage inventory, production tracking and working with the S&OP group to manage OSP inventories.
- Work with Regional manufacturing and F&P manager to understand and operate facility according to operational budget plan.
- Track/analyze actual verse budget variances.
- Must promote previous day’s production metrics and goals of the day on a visual board at each machine center
- Review site operational reports, manning, and expenditures.
- Responsible for personnel training, evaluating, employee issues or concerns, disciplinary actions, and all other issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have minimum 5 years' experience in the Lumber Drying and Finishing Industry.
- Preferred if holds a degree
- Must be able to work any shift -- overtime, weekends, holidays as required and in all conditions.
· Must have past Managerial experience, Budgeting, P & L, forecasting and manage a team of 30 or more including payroll and staffing.
- Must have good product knowledge and a good understanding of supply chain and production demand concepts.
- Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement and 5s programs
- Must have good people management skills with experience managing employees.
- Must have good safety record and follow safety policies
- Must have Personal Computer skills that include MS excel, word and power-point & Zoom meetings.
