What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at AKA?
AKA University City is hiring for a Housekeeper with 1 years’ housekeeping experience!
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Cleans resident rooms and resident areas, including, but not limited to; stripping/making beds; dusting and vacuuming; cleaning bathroom; replenishing supplies; cleaning windows, mirrors, and patios (where applicable).
· Cleans kitchen including all areas like the sink, microwave, stove, dishwasher, oven, dishes, refrigerator, etc.
· Inventory condition of room furnishing using the aka Furnished Inventory and Condition Checklist as needed; communicate to immediate Supervisor and/or designated team member any damage caused by the resident.
· Utilizes chemicals according to directions and familiarizes self with all material safety data sheets.
· Consistently maintains the same aka standards and presentation of the resident rooms.
· Reports hazardous conditions in work area or equipment to supervisor.
· Maintains a stocked, organized, and clean crisp cart with sufficient supplies.
· Brings Lost and Found items to Supervisor/Manager for them to log in the Lost & Found system.
· Communicates with residents and Team Members in a professional and friendly manner in compliance with aka service standards.
· Keeps supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart at the beginning of shift.
· Utilizes PPE and cleaning chemicals.
· Creates tickets for any maintenance issues.
· Reports damages caused by residents to Housekeeping Leadership Team and takes photos of any damaged item(s).
· Handles housekeeping equipment carefully and ensures equipment is functioning properly.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of one years of housekeeping experience.
· High school degree or equivalent.
· Ability to be flexible with work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
· Meticulous attention to detail.
· Moderate proficiency in English (written and oral).
