This position will report to the Director of Global Compensation. This role will work with a cross-functional team including HR colleagues and organizational leaders. Akamais Compensation team is a key HR center of excellence and a strategic partner to the business. From strategy design to program delivery, the team plays a significant role in contributing to the employee value proposition here at Akamai.

Partner with the best

The Compensation Manager will focus on developing and delivering global compensation policies. This role will require someone who is self-starting to oversee the current programs and make appropriate recommendations to allow the organization to scale going forward

As a Compensation Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing all aspects of global compensation cycles including sales compensation, annual compensation program review, annual salary planning cycle and bonus cycles.
  • Providing advice and counsel to HR business partners and senior staff on pay decisions including policy and guideline interpretation.
  • Conducting research, annual market analysis resulting in best practices; providing input on recommendations on global plans and programs; ad hoc analysis and planning
  • Providing thought leadership on compensation and related topics both within the global compensation community and with internal clients.
  • Participating in the design, development and implementation of programs that enhance Akamais ability to attract, motivate and retain talent at all levels of the organization.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree or its equivalent
  • Have the ability to identify challenges and develop appropriate solutions while meeting competing and shifting deadlines
  • Able to work independently, prioritize multiple stakeholders and tasks, manage details and deliver results in an environment with competing demands.
  • Have exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Have proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience working with Oracle HRMS is a plus.
