Become a technical influencer

Working within an integrated team you'll provide technical advisory services and technical development design to key decision-makers, influencing your customers business strategies and maximizing the value they receive from our products. You'll be the expert lead on cutting-edge and emerging technologies, sharing your subject-matter expertise across the organization.

As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Working with customers to define technical strategies for business-critical video delivery, increased viewer adoption and network infrastructure
• Providing technical thought leadership and guidance to educate peers on best practice and the latest technology trends
• Partnering with Akamais Product Management as well as Research & Development teams to develop future product direction and strategy
• Ensuring smooth running of operations and team metrics by being the final escalation point for internal stakeholders

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field or its equivalent.
• Have experience working in a customer-facing role focused on delivering technical products or services
• Have knowledge and experience with streaming technologies including HLS and DASH
• Understand how the internet and it's networks and protocols (IP, DNS and routing, HTTP, TCP or web architecture) works
• Have the ability to be a technical consultant to our customers and build effective and strategic relationships
• Be comfortable with any scripting language and development to help create automation on our platforms
• Be able to analyse data, provide actionable solutions and thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to present to various stakeholders
