Qualification Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Four (4) year Bachelor’s degree plus five years’ experience in international purchasing OR Combination of above plus on-the-job training by qualified AKG trainer.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to use various computer programs including SAP system expertise and high level Microsoft Suite skills are necessary.
2. Must have great attention to detail.
3. Leadership and decision making skills.
4. Knowledge of international freight movement and costing.
5. Ability to analyze cost options and make TCO decisions using analysis tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables and database management
6. Language skills to communicate effectively with other AKG sites and international suppliers
7. Ability to understand technical drawings in order to make sourcing decisions
Supervisory Responsibilities:
NONE
Essential Functions:
1. Develops key relationships with selected current suppliers and leads searches for new suppliers
2. Works jointly with NPI staff defining needs for new processes, new components, cost targets and leads implementation for purchasing
3. Works with AKG sites globally to find Group cost savings and to effectively implement them
4. Leads Purchasing USA team reviews of current supply chain to identify cost savings opportunities, finds solutions and leads implementation
5. Uses SAP experience in purchasing and materials
6. Is sitting member of the Systems Business Team in USA to find effective solutions for value added sourcing for this value stream
7. Assist in global aluminum strategy to align local needs with global supply chain
Physical Demands:
1. Must be able to sit (70%), stand (20%) and walk (10%) of the time.
2. Must be able to lift up to 20lbs (5%) of the time.

Salary : $54,800 - $69,400
