Job description: Box Truck Delivery Driver :
- Primary functions of this position are delivery of local freight and building materials using box trucks.
(Box trucks require a standard driver's license.) - Handling of freight, unloading and loading at destinations.
Key Responsibilities for: Box Truck Delivery Driver:
- Efficient and safe pick-up and delivery of local freight.
- Load and unload vehicles, containers as needed.
- Move freight within yard or warehouse using forklift or other equipment as needed.
- Process all paperwork related to freight.
- Inspect and maintain vehicles such as gas, oil, coolant, tires, lights and brakes to ensure proper working condition; perform minor vehicle maintenance, emergency repairs and cleaning.
