Job Summary:
Akima is looking to hire a content coordinator professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing an array of communications and marketing projects. You will play a key role engaging and motivating employees in a variety of functions and office locations/environments, as well as attracting customers and potential employees around the world. You will work with the Internal Communications, Marketing, and Stakeholder Engagement teams to stay informed on company developments and build supporting project plans.
Job Responsibilities:
Working with the Internal Communications, Marketing, and Stakeholder teams to plan and deliver content to support employee engagement
Developing employee communications content that supports the overall communications strategy and reflect the key messages
Implementing brand and corporate culture awareness across the Akima portfolio of companies
Proactively engaging with departments and shared services within Akima to understand communications and marketing requirements and plans
Writing and publishing content across the range of internal communications channels
Planning and implementing digital ad campaigns
Organizing marketing data and programs
Working with the Internal Communications, Marketing, and Stakeholder teams to produce and develop employee communications and marketing campaign plans
Providing support, as needed, on communications and marketing for employee and marketing events
Proactively seeking opportunities and solicit feedback to enhance programs, events, and communication
Ensuring all editorial content utilizes correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and organizational style
Minimum Qualifications:
Four-year degree from an accredited university
Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate marketing and communications
Superb written communications
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-performance environment
Ability to identify, build, and maintain relationships with all levels of the organization
Critical thinker who can solve problems while working collaboratively
Comfort with a variety of digital communications tools
Advanced skill in communicating to broad community audiences and understanding the scope of potential impacts
Familiar with newer methods of communication (i.e., digital, email database management, etc.)
An understanding of change management concepts
MS Office proficiency required; SharePoint expertise preferred
Advanced skill in writing and editing including spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and word usage; proofread for errors in content copy, art, and design
Must be able to work from the Herndon, VA, office regularly

Salary : $44,100 - $55,900
