Job Summary: Quality Control Inspector (QCI) is responsible to the Site Supervisor. QCI’s perform spot-checks on work in progress, final inspections on maintenance items and are responsible for site level audits per program QA procedures. Responsibilities: Comply with FAA regulations as applicable. Know, understand and comply with the requirements outlined in the C-21 CLS Performance Work Statement (PWS). Ensure aircraft records procedures comply with the requirements outlined in Air Force publications. Authorized to perform inspections, conduct evaluations and report deficiencies in all areas of contract performance as detailed in the applicable QAPs. Authorized to stop work or prevent an aircraft from being released for flight, upon discovering a deficiency creating an unsafe condition and/or presenting a hazard to property or personnel. Maintain a clean and organized work place Documents inspection actions as required. Investigates accidents and incidents and prepares reports as required. May be required to manage FCF, weight and balance, product improvement, foreign object damage, dropped object, combat oriented repair and evaluation, aircraft acceptance and transfer, flight control diagnostic, and aircraft damage programs. Assists the PMO Quality Manager and staff in maintaining the currency of and revising maintenance operating instructions. Inspects completed work for accuracy and compliance with applicable technical orders and workcards to ensure satisfactory completion of tasks. Monitors work areas for compliance with OSHA and EPA standards. Briefs and debriefs pilots on FCF requirements. Inspects aircraft, engines, systems, and associated equipment. Develops and implements quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications. Reports all observable detected safety violations. Monitors timeliness and applicability of aircraft maintenance technical data and technical library.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: - In depth knowledge of the FAA, Air Force & Lear jet aircraft maintenance processes. - Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. - In depth knowledge of Commercial and FAA Quality Systems. - Possess a valid FAA A&P license for a minimum of 2 years. - Must possess an unexpired Passport and a valid Driver’s License. - Must comply with Company quality, maintenance and logistics procedures. - Must obtain and maintain required security and installation clearances. - Must have 3 years quality control experience. - Be physically able to deploy with unit aircraft to overseas locations. - Performs other duties as directed by Management. Desired Qualifications: - Assist in Maintenance Data Systems Analysis with investigations and studies. - Review Quality database and inspection summary for accuracy and content. - Initiate actions when additional attention is required to resolve adverse maintenance trends or training issues. - Coordinate with Quality Manager on development of training plans. - Maintain QA programs to ensure accuracy and timely reporting. - Possess or have the ability to obtain an Inspection Authorization if required. - 5 years’ experience on Air Force C-21 or Lear 35 aircraft is preferred.
