What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical engineer position at Akkodis?
Akkodis is looking for an Electrical Wire Installation Engineer in Bothell or Marysville WA location. Ideally, you will be responsible for the design and oversight of wire installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical components, equipment, and systems.
Here are the specs of the role :
Pay Rate : $40-60 / hr
Type : 12 months contract
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Create a drawing list of assigned wire installations for project-level STC.
- Define wire installation requirements for VIP / VVIP aircraft.
- Design wire installation layouts and drawings using 2D and 3D engineering drafting tools.
- Review and approve completed drawing packages from peers.
- Design wire installations of electrical components and equipment with maintenance and operational functionality in mind.
- Support system installations via liaison with modification facility, resolve design issues and update drawings to meet schedules.
- Interface with customers, FAA designees, and vendors to ensure designs meet all requirements.
- Participate in estimating and scheduling assigned wire installation drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to major milestones and deliverables.
- Prepare design checklists, templates, and other processes as needed.
- Maintain close coordination with project engineers to comply with project schedules and costs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for designing and developing aircraft wire routing drawings to meet the latest FAA design standards and customer requirements.
- Understanding of wire schematics, system block diagrams, and topologies.
- Extensive technical knowledge of Boeing aircraft for VIP and / or commercial models.
- Strong working knowledge of My Boeing Fleet for OEM data sets.
- Understanding of the certification and electrical design process.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Competent user of CAD and data management systems.
- Ability to derive and understand multiple customer standard electrical system requirements.
- Ability to provide layouts and conduct program design reviews.
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods, use hands to lift / move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift / move up to 25 pounds, and adjust focus.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Ability to meet high expectations for strict schedule, budget, and technical solutions.
- Adaptability to tailored processes designed for prototype engineering.
- Ability to locate and install wire provisions to support EWIS regulations.
- Broad and diverse knowledge of multiple interior commodities including shipside wiring, monument, ceiling panel wiring, circuit breaker panel internals, etc.
