Akkodis is seeking an IT Admin for a Contract To Hire position with a client located in San Diego, CA. This IT Administrator will work with limited supervision to migrate production test systems from older versions of Windows to Windows 11.
This role will be responsible for troubleshooting software and hardware issues to find the root cause and correct the issue, as needed.
Must be able to track and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks and follow through to completion. Schedule is onsite; Monday thru Friday, 8 : 00 am 4 : 30 pm.
Pay Range : $30.00 to $38.00 per hour on W2 only
IT Helpdesk job responsibilities include :
- Prepare systems for upgrade by backing up data.
- Complete the upgrade and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the process.
- Ensure all upgrades are complete and systems are running successfully.
- Monitor and enforce company cyber security policies.
- Ensure network connectivity.
- Physical movement of IT or other office gear, as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to end users.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must have 1-2 years of previous IT experience.
- Proficient with TCP / IP addressing, subnetting, routing.
- Proficient with networking equipment : cards, switches, routers, and cabling.
- Familiar with / knowledge of the purpose of the main components on computers.
- Must be proficient and able to troubleshoot in the following areas :
o Microsoft windows Active Directory environment
o Computer hardware
o Networking equipment
o Local / network printer support / networking support
o Mobile device management
- Know the principles and practices of cyber security.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrate tact and professionalism.
- Able to identify and resolve problems and troubleshoot incidents as they arise.
- Have an advanced level of proficiency with MS Office Products.
- Capable of managing multiple concurrent projects.
