Position Summary/Impact:

We’re looking for a confident and enthusiastic marketer, ready for the opportunity to build a scalable content management strategy from the ground up. You get excited about performing content audits, identifying gaps, and developing a master plan – in conjunction with other team members – to improve the team’s ability to deliver the right content at the right time in the customer’s journey. You’re a natural-born problem solver with a commercial mindset. You are a skilled writer and storyteller, experienced in communicating scientific concepts and effectively translating value propositions into compelling content and collateral to increase engagement with current and future customers.


The ideal candidate will develop and execute on a holistic content strategy to engage prospects and customers, expand our audience, and increase demand.  In this role, you will partner with the broader marketing organization to identify content goals and initiatives and will lead efforts to define and build effective content across every stage of the buyer’s journey. From optimizing messaging, to developing content for lead generation, your goal is to drive engagement and awareness with target customers.

You will build and manage an editorial/content calendar and support the production of a wide range of materials, including brochures, case studies, web content, white papers, blogs, video, and infographics. This role will require a strong understanding of our customer personas and an ability to translate complex/technical concepts into straightforward, persuasive stories that resonate with their expectations and needs.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Utilize deep understanding of digital marketing strategies and tactics including webinars, email marketing, social advertising, nurturing & retargeting, etc. to drive interactions with target audience
  • Lead the development and execution of global, multichannel marketing programs with cross-functional teams to meet target results and objectives
  • Maintain a content marketing calendar & develop and optimize content resources to drive brand awareness, build Akoya's visibility & thought leadership, and generate leads
  • Develop and manage the strategic distribution of content through owned and third-party channels, including: social media, email, webinars, website, trade publications, etc.
  • Support the Product Marketing team in crafting impactful value propositions, messaging, and content for key products and applications. Map content to the buyer's journey to ensure resources are available for all stages of the cycle
  • Partner with the Product Marketing and Regional Marketing teams along with external agencies to build communications for inbound and outbound campaigns to meet lead generation goals
  • Drive Akoya's social media and blog strategies, coordinating closely with global PR and investor communications
  • Collaborate with our global sales team to leverage content, advising on how content can help with sales outreach and engagement in the funnel


Qualifications/Skills

  • 5 years relevant experience in content marketing, communications, journalism or related position
  • 5 years of marketing experience working in the healthcare and / or life sciences space
  • Experience developing and executing inbound and outbound marketing
  • Outstanding copywriting and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate scientific content in a digestible format
  • Deep understanding of lifecycle marketing and how to use content to engage users at multiple points through the customer journey, with a strong focus on conversion
  • Expertise leading social media channels and working on creative social media campaigns in the healthcare or life sciences space
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, with excellent time and project management
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with a matrixed, geographically dispersed team of personnel
  • Experience managing vendors, including planning and tracking promotional budgets
  • Expertise with marketing automation, lead nurture strategy/tactics and best practices in email copyrighting a plus
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

The hiring range for this position is $135,000 to $155,000 per year, which may factor in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. Our full-time regular positions also include an annual performance-based bonus (or a sales incentive plan) and long-term incentive units (equity) provided as part of our compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
