SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages the maintenance duties, short- and long-term planning and maintenance project implementation at all facilities. Responsible for leading the installation, maintenance and repair of all plant equipment and facilities with consideration to strategy, business needs, and cost. REPORTS TO (Title): Director of Advanced Manufacturing ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and develop the Maintenance Team. Develop and maintain preventative maintenance strategy to minimize downtime of all machinery. Manage and coordinate activities of workers and contractors engaged in servicing, repair, installation and maintenance of equipment and facilities Source and purchase technology, equipment, and machinery in line with maintenance strategy. Recognize and implement cost saving opportunities. Responsible for electronic reliability data and improving methods for collecting accurate data Establish and track KPIs as required to successfully manage the safety, quality, and efficiency of the maintenance operations. Ensure that designated buildings, plant, and facilities are fit for all business unit purposes. Prioritize changing demands and structure the team to ensure deadlines are met. Ensure compliant record-keeping, in accordance with the Akron Brass Quality Manual. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends Allocate organizational resources in alignment with strategic plans and priorities Alert Leadership of critical maintenance, supply, and safety risks. Responsible for planning, developing, and maintaining the Maintenance budget. Demonstrate a high level of internal customer service. All other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES: Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Experience in planning maintenance operations. Technical writing, communication, and presentation skills Ability to communicate and connect with persons of varying levels of technical ability, experience, and education. Project Management involving multiple projects and deadlines Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others toward mutual objectives. Well-versed in all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations. The ability to adapt to work effectively in an environment of change, uncertainty, and ambiguity; can make pragmatic decisions in a timely fashion. Knowledge in lean six sigma tools and/or Lean Maintenance experience with a continuous improvement mentality Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Preferred knowledge and experience in Machine Repair including mechanical and electrical on various Machine Centers, i.e., Mazak, DMG/Mori, Okuma, Doosan, etc. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor’s Degree and/or related maintenance experience; or equivalent combination of education and related maintenance experience is required. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a maintenance supervisory or management role in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated leadership skills strongly preferred.
