Senior Manager of Technology

Description

This position is responsible for managing day to day technology functions, focusing on strategic planning, allocating resources, security and ensuring projects and timelines are in line with the organization’s goals and objectives. In addition, this position works closely with outside contractors to ensure efficient and effective IT systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES

• Manage all information technology projects, resources, and cyber strategy
• Direct the activities of all technology-related matters, including networking and telecommunications infrastructures, end user computing, outsourced and contracted services, hosted & co-managed systems 
• Ensure software is properly licenses and that hardware support contracts and vendor contracts are followed and updated when appropriate
• Maintain professional knowledge in applicable areas and keep abreast of changed occurring in the field through research, training programs, workshops and seminars
• Research and evaluate new technologies in support of organizational growth, strategic direction, and operational needs
• Enforce change management practices aligning IT services with the needs of the organization (developing IT related solutions to meet organizational needs)
• Provide IT user training, support and customer service to all departments, utilizing internal work order process for prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely resolutions
• Install, upgrade, maintain and configure end user systems including workstations, printers, POS, security cameras and other end user devices
• Recommend and review IT policies and procedures on an annual basis or as needed
• Maintain and oversee inventory of information systems equipment and software on an ongoing basis
• Oversee and manage outside IT contractors on behalf of the organization.  
• Manage both operating and capital IT budgets
• Manage Zoo cell phone program

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, engineering or a closely related field and a minimum of three years of management level experience in information technology involving IT system design and implementation in a centralized IT environment OR 10 years of progressive managerial experience in similar areas if education requirement isn’t met.
