Summary:

The Aksarben Foundation is a well-respected, nearly 130-year-old organization in need of an Administrative Assistant. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Aksarben staff, including the Executive Directors of the Aksarben initiatives: Full Value Ag, Growing Together, InternNE, and Nebraska Tech Collaborative.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

●       Day-to-day administrative support - managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence.

●       Act as a point of contact for clients and vendors, responding to inquiries.

●       Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and other documents as needed. Ensure accuracy and integrity.

●       Arrange travel itineraries, accommodations and other logistics for staff as required.

●       Assist in drafting, formatting, and proofreading documents such as reports, presentations, and memos.

●       Coordinate and schedule meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and take minutes when necessary.

●       Manage office supplies inventory, order supplies as needed, and ensure equipment is properly maintained.

●       Organize and maintain physical and electronic files, ensuring they are easily accessible and properly archived.

●       Assist with special projects and perform other administrative tasks as assigned by management.


Qualifications:

●       Proven experience as an administrative assistant or related role.

●       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

●       Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

●       Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

●       Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

●       Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

●       Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
