What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Trainer position at AKT Studios?
AKT is seeking a highly motivated Trainer who is passionate about teaching, educating, and likes to manage teams. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching AKT, and have a demonstrated ability with upholding AKT brand standards. Aside from being a strong teacher, candidates should also have experience effectively leading and managing teams, and a desire to coach and develop others along with themselves.
REQUIREMENTS
- AKT Certified with a thorough knowledge and demonstrated ability teaching all AKT class formats
- Experience leading or managing teams of different dynamics
- Charismatic, tenacious, positive, and motivational teaching and coaching style
- Punctual, reliable, and dedicated - a role model to the Team
- Desire to build a successful business in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, effective, and empathetic communication skills, with a focus on making strategic decisions
- Administrative experience with programs like GSuite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Forms), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), ClubReady and other studio specific software, or willing to learn
- Additional fitness certification preferred
- Suggested availability to teach early mornings, evenings, and weekends (at least 5 classes a week), as well as take on additional administrative hours, as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES COULD INCLUDE

- Assist General Manager/Franchise Partner with:
- Managing Trainer availability and the class schedule
- Ongoing recruiting efforts and leading local auditions
- Grassroots events planning and execution
- Recording Trainer Practice Classes and Reviews
- New Trainer onboarding and mentorship
- Assist with answering questions on content
- Trainer Class Check-ins and offering observations
- Connect and present ideas and feedback to the Education Department
AKT CERTIFICATION
The Lead Trainer must be certified in all AKT Class Formats.
