INTRODUCTION.
Afrikelp USA (www.afrikelp-usa.com), is a subsidiary of an international company, Afrikelp, that will give the right candidate the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. The role is the market development and sales of our premium bio stimulant kelp extract in the Northwest region. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a growing market with sustainability and food security at its core, and will involve working closely with distributors, advisors, and farmers.
SUMMARY
The candidate’s main responsibility will be market development, whilst at the same time providing technical support to customers. Market knowledge and a good distributor and farmer network particularly in California but also in other Agriculture regions in the USA is extremely important. The successful candidate also can contribute to the company strategy and be a part of the growth plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include but are not limited to the following:
- Contribute to the growth strategy, marketing plan and product development in the region.
- Identify new potential partners
- Provide business with market intelligence on key players, crops, trends, etc.
- Build a good relationship with current and new distributors/dealers.
- To get new customers and distributors in the region.
- To be proactive, secure meetings and create presentations.
- Meeting schedules and support of the marketing plan.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Science in Agronomy or Master of Science.
- Entry level position 0 - 5 years in the agricultural industry.
- Good knowledge in main crops in the region is desirable.
- Good communication and presentations skills is essential.
OTHER SKILLS
Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
