Our Mission makes AIDB a unique place to work and the Network Manager position is a unique opportunity to ensure that we are providing connectivity and access in a manner that facilitates hearing and visually impaired users in their education and integration in other environments. The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing network and other connectivity that meet the needs of our constituents in a cost effective fashion. Project management and interpersonal skills are vital to establish a working relationship with other departments in order to identify and evaluate stakeholder requirements. Attention to detail and documentation of requests and projects will help to ensure we understand what is being asked of us and keep initiatives on track.
ABOUT YOU:
The ideal candidate will possess a love for Designing and documenting network architectures. They will need to report on network status and be willing to recommend policy, procedures, and system needs concerning network related technology. We are searching for individuals who will ensure that AIDB’s culture of inclusion is reinforced and that everyone feel connected, recognized, and proud to be a part of the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
· Five (5) years of experience in Managing local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and/or virtual local area networks (VLANs), including network design, deployment, and security
· Five (5) years of experience in Troubleshooting network equipment, performance and firewalls
· Five (5) years of experience in Troubleshooting computer hardware and software
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or comparable.
· Three (3) years of experience in Managing local area networks (LANs), wide area networks. (WANs), and/or virtual local area networks (VLANs), including network design, deployment, and security.
· Three (3) years of experience in Troubleshooting network equipment, performance and firewalls.
· Three (3) years of experience in Troubleshooting computer hardware and software.
Position Requirements:
· Demonstrate ability to develop, manage, and coordinate network operations
· One year or more experience with VOIP technology (SIP or H.323, preferably with Asterisk)
· One year or more experience with routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, etc)
· One year or more experience managing projects in medium and large environments
· Network or equivalent certification must be obtained within the first thirty (36) months of employment and current status must be maintained.
· Some overnight travel will be required.
· A sign language proficiency level of SURVIVAL according to the AIDB evaluation system must be obtained within the first thirty (36) months of employment.
· Upon offer of employment, the applicant must submit to a fingerprint background check at an agency designated and paid by AIDB."

SALARY: $68,575 - $89,711 Scale PI Rank 61

Direct deposit is required. Monthly Payroll
This is an exempt position, and is not subject to overtime or compensatory provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
