Alabama State University, Cancer Biology Research and Training Center, invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Research Associate. The successful candidate will be involved in conducting research, managing the funded activities, writing grants, and helping with completing the goals and objectives of the research project
Duties and Responsibilities:- Perform Cancer research
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate students
- Correspond regularly with partner institutions
- Assist with student recruitment, advising
- Organize meetings with students and mentors
- Provide support to the Principal Investigator
- Collect data, analyze the data for publication and present date to national/international conferences
- Participate in regular meetings with the principal investigators and co-investigators, and assist in maintaining a clear record of research accomplishments
- Provide research training to students
- Perform other duties as assigned
An earned doctorate in Life Sciences (Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology, Cancer Biology, Chemical Science,Health Disparity, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning in Cancer Health Disparity or Cancer Bioinformatics) with a focus on cancer research or related disciplines, evidence of quality publication in cancer areas and evidence of quality research and mentorship of students in the biomedical field required. This position required prolong periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer.
