Position Overview: Pre-Investigators are in-house investigators whose aim is to resolve all bail forfeitures by consistently checking the status of the bond and warrant, working with the defendant or co-signer to reinstate the bond, researching the defendant’s in custody status, verifying the defendant’s reappearance in court, and if necessary, working with field investigators to arrange a defendant’s apprehension. Pre-Investigators work closely with various governmental establishments including (but not limited to) Superior Courts, Sheriff’s Departments, Detention Centers, and Field Investigators.

- Negotiating and setting up bail reinstatements with Defendants and Co-signers
- Meticulous data entry of all work throughout the investigation
- Fielding incoming leads
- Telephone calls to the Superior Courts, Sheriff’s Departments, and Detention Centers
- Assisting the Investigations Unit in administering incoming leads following the transfer of cases to Investigations
- Receiving incoming phone calls into the Pre-Investigations office
- Previous experience in investigations, skip tracing, or any other related fields
- Experience with case management
- Knowledge of the bail industry and criminal justice system (preferred)
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule
- Spanish bilingual (not required, but preferred)
- High School graduate (at minimum)
- College degree not required, but some college courses preferred
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office
- Ability to conduct pre-text telephone calls to facilitate in an arrest
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Exceptionally detail-oriented
- Ability to multi-task
