Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who is passionate about supporting systems, infrastructure, and wanting to grow! If you are looking for a position where you take ownership, wear multiple hats, and provide support to a number of different end users… we have the position for you!

Our ideal candidate is eager to learn about supporting various computer systems in a fast-paced environment, works well in teams, and can interact effectively with end users. Basic computer troubleshooting skills and strong organizational skills are preferred. Candidates will be exposed to a variety of exciting enterprise technologies and will be able to learn most tasks on the job.  As our Infrastructure Engineer you will be an integral part of our Information Technology team responsible for keeping systems up and running in our facility.

Job duties:

• Implements, manages, and improves Cisco networking equipment.
• Implements and improves Hyper-V infrastructure following best practices.
• Acts as a point of escalation for the support services team.
• Provides infrastructure code reviews and feedback on technical designs.
• Ensures application performance, uptime, and scale, maintain high standards of quality and thoughtful design.
• Performs QA activities to ensures standardization of best practices.
• Provides advice and guidance on all service-level related issues.
• Manages direct interaction with the other technical teams and end users.
• Builds roadmaps and plans to meet current and future infrastructure requirements.
• Participates in on-call rotation and ensure uptime of services.
• Maintains infrastructure metrics and reports status to program leadership.
• Leads operational service management processes to ensure quality, efficiency, productivity, and agility goals are achieved.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, information technology, computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Previous Experience in a manufacturing or 24/7 environment is beneficial.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to grow and learn enterprise technologies.

Qualified candidates must have experience with the following technologies:  

• 3-5 years advanced experience as primary support person with Cisco network equipment implementation and management. * Be prepared to talk in detail about the infrastructures you have implemented and managed.
• 3-5 years with Windows server implementation and management.
• 3-5 years as primary support person with Hyper-V implementation and management, Microsoft PowerShell, Active Directory, Linux. * Be prepared to speak in detail about your experience with Hyper-V, and storage implementation in High Availability (HA) configurations.
