Alaris Health at Belgrov, a 120 bed-skilled nursing Center in Kearny, New Jersey, seeks a maintenance worker to be responsible for the maintenance operation of the Center and performing equipment repairs and maintenance. Additional responsibilities include:
- completing corrective and preventative maintenance of the grounds and building in a timely manner
- ensuring the building is in good repair and free of electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems hazards
- maintaining the fire alarm and emergency generator system in good working order, performing weekly tests on the fire alarm and emergency generator systems and keeping records of tests results
- orienting and instructing all maintenance personnel and recruiting and interviewing new hires
- reviewing and evaluating personnel’s work performance and designating work assignments and duty schedules
- and above all, ensuring that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual’s needs and rights
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school degree or equivalent and basic training in electrical, plumbing, heating and HVAC systems
- Ability to perform essential job functions
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Able to work well independently
- Ability to remain within parameters of the budget
- Ability to positively interact with everyone from residents to government agencies and the general public
Salary : $30,600 - $38,800
