Alarm, Fire & Security, LLC is a local independently owned and operated full-service Fire Sprinkler and Fire Alarm Company. We are members of AWWA (American Water Works Association), NFPA (National Fire Protection Association, AFSA (American Fire Sprinkler Association), DHEC (South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control) & Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce. Our technicians are TREEO, DHEC & NICET certified, keeping current with local, state, and national codes through continuing education.

The Fire Alarm Systems Manager manages the coordination and delivery of multiple, simultaneous commercial Fire Alarm and Life Safety projects of various complexities and are critical to the overall project. The role has fiscal responsibility for all project facets, including project billing, job cost reporting, and overall customer satisfaction. As a Fire Alarm Systems Manager, you will:

  • Review project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish project intent and develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team.
  • Identify time-sensitive installation needs.
  • Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects and review plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews.
  • Assist Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.
  • Conduct an orientation for project technicians and provide all necessary project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, project contacts, etc.
  • Track resources and project progress and document project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency. Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities and coordinate and pursue project-specific billing, coordinate with accounting team and Operations Manager.
  • Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation.
  • Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development. Complete project-specific close-out documentation and effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors to meet scope, scheduling, and financial requirements.
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures, report unsafe conditions and actions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of fire alarm code requirements per NFPA 72.
  • Relevant full-time experience required.
  • Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site.

Preferred Skills

  • Self-motivated with ability to multi-task.
  • Detail oriented.
  • High sense of organizational & communication skills.
  • Proficient PC skills & MS Office applications.
  • Experience with commercial and residential systems.
  • NICET Level 2 or 3
  • Manufacturer certifications.
  • Panel programming.
  • Requires the ability to act in a lead capacity and manage teams or groups of individuals on projects.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment as well as work independently.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling requirements that occasionally will require evening, weekend and/or out-of-town assignments.
  • Requires the ability to display knowledge of principles, practices, codes and regulations related to the work.
  • Requires the ability to display knowledge of basic practices of reviewing official documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Requires the ability to recognize and report deviations through inspection programs.
  • Requires the ability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Requires the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Requires the ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Requires the ability to use or repair small/light equipment, such as power tools, ladders, medium equipment, and machinery.
