We are seeking a Public Health Nurse with extensive knowledge of the application of public health principles and practices to improve the health of communities and populations. The successful candidate will have experience working in a variety of settings, including schools, elder care facilities, community health centers, substance abuse programs and correctional facilities. The Public Health Nurse will serve as the vital link between these facilities and the public healthcare system.
Responsibilities:
Provide information on health and safety issues in the community.
Provide assistance in emergency situations like fire, flood, and natural disasters.
Perform routine health screenings and outreach in the community.
Provide care to patients in their homes or at health facilities.
Adhere to all health and governmental regulations.
Communicate patient's conditions to physicians and other providers.
