Summary:
The Junior Engineer, Frontend Developer will help enhance and maintain KY3P Third Party and Assessor Portal (TPAP) customer web portal and business middleware APIs to enable KY3P to scale and serve our rapidly growing customer base. This role will require working with stakeholders across the company to understand the design intent and expected functionality in KY3P's applications.
Responsibilities and Impact:
- Build the front-end of applications utilizing React
- Contribute to the design of client-side and server-side architecture
- Work with development teams and product managers to scope and deliver software solutions
- Work with the app support team and assist with escalated support issues
- Build and maintain automated test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
- Assist in the support of the application including troubleshooting and debugging
- Create security and data protection settings
- Write and maintain use case mock ups and technical documentation
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
- Must be available during US business hours (8 am to 5 pm Monday – Friday, Eastern Time).
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field required.
- Exposure to frontend development processes using modern JavaScript, either through work or school experience.
- Should have a keen eye for design, layout, and user experience, with consideration given to browser, client, and canvas size. Experience with Lucidchart and Figma (or similar) desired
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience implementing full stack modern web user interfaces utilizing React 18 Functional Components is a plus. Alternatively, experience with Vue or Angular is acceptable.
- Should have experience integrating agile principles into the software development lifecycle through automated testing, code review/pull requests, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
- Should have experience working with distributed development teams, with both internal and external partners
- Should have experience with modern development tools, such as Jest, NodeJS, NPM, Git, Mend, Fortify, PowerShell, and Azure DevOps
- Outstanding verbal and written skills, and ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders
