Summary/Objective
The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction of the Shipping Department and Warehouse. This includes supervisory responsibility over receiving, shipping, and returns across multiple buildings in the surrounding area. This person will ensure inbound/outbound orders are efficiently identified, stocked, pulled, scanned, processed and relieved from inventory. This position will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and may have additional duties assigned as business dictates.
Essential Functions
- Oversees the flow of outbound stock to ensure customer orders are fulfilled in a timely manner and in accordance with Albaugh policies and procedures.
- Trains, coaches and reviews performance of employees. Works with Warehouse Manager for employee discipline issues, terminations, and staffing addition requirements.
- Analyze open orders to estimate worker hours and work with Warehouse Manager to create scheduling that meets both internal and external needs. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet business demand.
- Completes reports for attendance, quality checks, and safety audits. Submits these reports daily to Warehouse Manager.
- Completes daily crew huddles, safety talks, and performs an hourly labor assessment.
- Builds a positive work environment.
- Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve shipping processes.
- Oversees the supplying of materials to various departments to meet their production needs. Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures. Oversees the rotation of inventories within the warehouse.
- Computer knowledge/experience with Excel spreadsheet.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position supervises all warehouse floor employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management of the employees within that department.
