Albi is the nationally recognized debut restaurant from chef/owner Michael Rafidi.
Chef Rafidi takes inspiration from his family’s roots in Palestine, bringing to the table an experience that melds the ancient tradition of the region’s coal-fired cuisine with local, seasonal, Mid-Atlantic ingredients and a refined culinary acumen.
Over the course of the first year of operations, Albi has attracted significant critical attention, earning mention as one of the nation's Best New Restaurant lists in Eater, Robb Report and Esquire, Eater DC's Restaurant of the Year, and by Food & Wine Magazine. In 2022, and again in 2023, Albi was awarded one star Michelin. In 2024, Chef Rafidi was awarded Outstanding Chef by the James Beard Foundation.
Albi is seeking a team- and career-minded Captain who is highly motivated and passionate about hospitality. We are seeking individuals who have the desire to combine a tireless appetite for knowledge with a high level of anticipation & awareness to create a team based, confident, warm, & personal service. The Captain will lead guests through our progrressive, seasonal menu hosting their section in our bustling dining room for the evening. This position will offer an opportunity for the right candidate to continue to refine their craft, with the resources at hand to delve further into Levantine cuisine, craft cocktails, and a robust wine program.
