What are the responsibilities and job description for the Soccer Coach position at Albion Hurricanes FC?
We are seeking a passionate and experienced soccer coach to join Albion Hurricanes FC, a nationally recognized youth soccer club with a comprehensive player development pathway through SSDL, USC, ECNL, USL2, and WPSL.
Our staff coaches play a crucial role in developing young talents, providing them with the guidance, knowledge, and skills necessary to excel in the sport. We are committed to creating a positive and professional environment where players and coaches can thrive and reach their full potential.
Staff coaches are responsible for the successful coaching, administration, and training of core teams as directed.
A staff coach's working week consists of on-field coaching hours, administrative tasks, and mandatory staff training workshops. Typically, coaches conduct training sessions 2 to 4 days a week in the afternoon/evening between Monday and Thursday, attend their teams' games (and other games as needed) during the weekend, participate in a remote staff meeting once a week, and are available for various administrative duties (remotely) as needed throughout the week.
Qualifications & Requirements:
USSF D License or higher.
Experience coaching youth players (experience coaching girls and goalkeepers preferred)
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
Must be able to pass background checks and obtain all necessary safety clearances required by the club, league, etc.
Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift and move equipment such as goals.
In addition to meeting the criteria listed above, ideal candidates are self-motivated, energetic, possess a strong work ethic, and maintain a positive attitude. Staff coaches are expected to manage their tasks and time efficiently with minimal supervision. Effective communication skills in person, by phone, and through email are crucial. Computer literacy and reliable phone and internet access are required.
