Duties
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
- Complete student portfolios and conduct teacher parent conferences.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning.
- Teach basic literacy, numeracy, and language skills.
- Encourage creativity and self-expression through art, music, and movement activities.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and development.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Working towards Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (minimum of 6 credit hours per semester).
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Familiarity with literacy education strategies for young children.
- Understanding of special education needs and accommodations for diverse learners.
- Knowledge of child welfare regulations and safety protocols.
- Ability to manage a classroom.
